Meet our Family Medicine Providers
UND Center for Family Medicine is part of the Department of Family and Community Medicine at the University of North Dakota School of Medicine & Health Sciences. All our faculty physicians are Board Certified Family Practitioners. Faculty members of the UND School of Medicine supervise residents who have earned their Doctorate of Medicine degree and are specializing in family medicine.
Our team of family physicians are supported by experienced counselors, nurse practitioners, and specialists to offer the comprehensive care you deserve.
Ethlyn Stewart
Bismarck
Dr Stewart truly believes that the best medicine is found in primary care. Family medicine allows her to care for every aspect of a person’s health, with a strong emphasis on preventative care. Her clinical passions include women’s health, geriatrics, and urgent care.
Dr Stewart loves working with a team that is deeply rooted in our community, focused on accessibility, and committed to meeting patients where they are. She practices individualized medicine tailored to each patient’s unique needs and lifestyle, and prioritizes building relationships based on trust. Her goal is to be one of the easiest people in your life to talk to about your health concerns.
Outside of work, she enjoys hot yoga, long walks with her dogs, and baking with her sourdough starter—though she usually leaves the dishes for her husband! After a long shift, her comfort ritual is a cup of hot chocolate enjoyed in her pink Snuggie out on the deck.
Dr Stewart also has knowledge in natural family planning methods, which is offered as options for both contraception and conception.
