Meet our Family Medicine Providers

UND Center for Family Medicine is part of the Department of Family and Community Medicine at the University of North Dakota School of Medicine & Health Sciences. All our faculty physicians are Board Certified Family Practitioners. Faculty members of the UND School of Medicine supervise residents who have earned their Doctorate of Medicine degree and are specializing in family medicine.

Our team of family physicians are supported by experienced counselors, nurse practitioners, and specialists to offer the comprehensive care you deserve.

Dr. Vaira has been a dedicated mental health counselor since 2012. She earned her Ph.D. in Counselor Education and Supervision in 2021, further deepening her expertise and commitment to the field. Passionate about helping patients achieve their goals, she finds great fulfillment in her clinical work and values the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in their lives.

In addition to her counseling practice, Dr. Vaira is an enthusiastic educator in the Family Medicine Residency Program. She finds teaching both gratifying and exciting, and she thrives on the opportunity to mentor future healthcare professionals. Her favorite part of the job is meeting new people and continuously challenging herself to grow and improve every day.

Outside of work, Dr. Vaira enjoys watching her children play sports, reading, spending time at the lake, and traveling with family and friends.
