Meet our Family Medicine Providers
UND Center for Family Medicine is part of the Department of Family and Community Medicine at the University of North Dakota School of Medicine & Health Sciences. All our faculty physicians are Board Certified Family Practitioners. Faculty members of the UND School of Medicine supervise residents who have earned their Doctorate of Medicine degree and are specializing in family medicine.
Our team of family physicians are supported by experienced counselors, nurse practitioners, and specialists to offer the comprehensive care you deserve.
Riya Palamuttam

Dr Palamuttam had the opportunity to complete an observership at the Hettinger Clinic, where she met the faculty and staff and was warmly welcomed into the community. She was drawn to the UND Center for Family Medicine for its strong emphasis on rural medicine and its commitment to providing hands-on, well-rounded training.
She values the program’s outreach efforts, particularly the core remote services offered to underserved populations in and around Hettinger. Riya is excited to grow in a culture of excellent training and hard work, and looks forward to experiencing both academic and high-quality clinical care throughout her residency.
